We can be proud as an organization for the wonderful things we accomplished in 2011. We were able to help over 500 children receive Christmas gifts and a meal with their family on December 11th. Operation Red Sleigh could not have done it without the support of our volunteers, sponsors and participants to our events.

Operation Red Sleigh, Inc. is a non-profit organization that began in 2000. Local law enforcement including NC Highway Patrol started the organization to assist families in Randolph County who were in need. Our organization is given names by the school system's counselors and we help underprivileged children in Randolph County who will not have a Christmas. We raise money throughout the year and provide the children with gifts and a hot meal for the family the day the presents are handed out prior to Christmas.

The
first year we received donations, had a silent auction, held raffles and
spaghetti dinners to raise funds to buy Christmas presents for 62 needy
children. It is hard to believe after
all the months of hard work in 2008 that another year of fundraising has come
to a close. Because of all the generous donations in 2008, we were able to
provide gifts for over 350 children.
Nine years under our belts and Operation red Sleigh, inc has
assisted over 1600 families with toys, clothing and food at Christmas.
In
2001 a cycling event was organized to raise additional funds and it has
grown each year. It was originally called "Operation Red Sleigh
Christmas in July Charity Bike Ride". Check our site for exciting new
changes regarding the cycling event.
